Following his father’s example of community service, Joel has served as a Chairman of the annual St. Helena Rotary Ball, is a member of the St. Helena Public Schools Foundation Board, He has been an English-Spanish operating room translator for Rotoplast in Guatemala and a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama where he taught sustainable agriculture practices.
